We’re delighted to share the news that Odyssey Networks, a nonprofit focusing on using media to build interfaith understanding, has selected LibLynx to provide access management for their new, institutional service.
Odyssey are working in partnership with the American Theological Library Association (ATLA) to develop an institutional subscription service based on their popular weekly multimedia resource, ON Scripture – The Bible. They were looking for a solution that would deliver the identity and access management features needed to support institutional licenses, including usage reporting, as well as a pricing model that could scale as their new service grew.
In particular, Odyssey were working to a tight schedule in order to get the new service up and running in time to promote it ahead of the traditional end of year budget cycle. It was essential that any solution was quick and easy for their digital agency to integrate into their Drupal-based platform.
LibLynx Connect provided Odyssey with a one-stop solution comprising an API-based access control logic plus a web-based administration tool for access configuration and usage reporting. Usage-based pricing allows Odyssey’s costs to scale as its subscription service grows.
To simplify implementation, we developed a Drupal module enabling our Identity and Access Management API to be integrated in just a few clicks. The module allows the structure of paywalled content to be easily defined, and the LibLynx API ensures that only authorized users can access that content.
