What is LibLynx Gateway?
Gateway provides libraries with a highly flexible and customized solution that uniquely combines:
- A powerful access infrastructure that supports Single Sign On (SSO) and proxy IP authentication; plus
- An optional, mobile-ready user portal that integrates all your paid and free resources
It gives librarians and other information managers an easy and affordable way to securely and efficiently provide patrons with on and off-site access to library resources from a single user portal. Library administrators have total control over who has access to what, including integration with local directories to simplify user management. Flexible reporting tools support budget requests and renewal decisions.
Why libraries?
Because it’s impossible to achieve our mission – making access as simple as possible, and as secure as necessary – without covering both sides of the access equation.
LibLynx was based on our own experience, as publishers, of the challenge of cost-effectively building a flexible access infrastructure that served multiple markets. We quickly realised that many libraries faced similar challenges with their legacy resources access systems, and that we could deliver better solutions for everyone by solving them in tandem.
We released LibLynx Gateway in Fall 2016 after more than a year of development, and have been working hard ever since on customer implementations.
