Understanding your user’s identities and preferences is critical to driving online engagement, but this valuable data is usually fragmented across disconnected silos, such as publishing platforms and other user-facing applications.

Worse still, there’s no consistency in how these platforms capture and manage identity data. And while some platforms share your users’ identity data openly with you, others make that difficult (or impossible).

Managing identity as a central service can drive revenue growth by enabling you to deliver a more personalized, engaging experience, and by revealing user interests and needs that can be used to cross-sell, up-sell, and develop valuable new products and services.

If you’re interested in learning more, I gave a presentation on this topic at the Society for Scholarly Publishing conference in Boston a few weeks ago. See the video of my presentation above (7mins), or alternatively you can flick through the slides.

Cheers,
Tim
