We’re excited to share the news that John Field is LibLynx’s new Chief Information Officer!

It’s unusual for organisations of our size to have a dedicated CIO, and our decision reflects how critical information management is to our operations. The volume of data we process has grown exponentially over the last decade to hundreds of millions of events each month. The regulatory environment has also changed significantly over this period, with the introduction of GDPR in 2016 marking a step change in the pace and complexity of legal requirements governing data handling. Client expectations have also evolved and we regularly respond to questions about our information policies and data security.

John joined LibLynx in 2021 as our Engineering Manager and spent several years building structure and process around our product development lifecycle to enable us to scale securely and efficiently. In 2024, he led a year-long project to improve our information security, culminating in LibLynx achieving ISO 27001 certification, the international standard for information security management systems, for which we’ve just been re-certified.

As CIO, John will keep delivering on our commitment to best practices in information security and governance, while continuing to lead on operational execution, capability and effectiveness. Please join us in congratulating John!
