Last year was a big one for LibLynx! As we reflect on the year gone by and prepare for a new year ahead, we are proud of our many achievements.
There are three milestones in particular that spotlight what LibLynx is all about – we are investing heavily in understanding your needs, we are actively leading and engaging in discussions with the scholarly publishing community, and we are engineering to manage identity and access data at scale.
13 conference presentations
From NISO in February to Charleston in November, LibLynx was found at every major scholarly publishing event in 2025. We led conversations about measuring open-access usage, and how to battle the bot activity flooding our platforms and usage reports.
With our strongest presence yet, we participated in dozens of meetings and presented at more than a dozen conferences, which is another chance to further our understanding of publisher and library needs, challenges, and aspirations.
82 user research sessions
LibLynx is committed to regular user research and client feedback to inform our business decisions and product development roadmaps. Last year was our single biggest year of investment in market research, with the greatest number of research methods deployed.
In 2025, we led a few dozen beta publishers through a series of interviews and usability tests to guide our development of new analytics tools. Library end users shared their experiences in dozens of one-to-one sessions and opinion surveys.
Billions of events processed
From authorising users to recording resource usage, LibLynx databases captured and reported on billions events in 2025. We re-engineered significant parts of our infrastructure to deal with last year’s torrent of AI scraping, upgraded our COUNTER reporting to the new 5.1 Code of Practice, and achieved ISO27001 certification for our Information Security Management Systems.
And, while we’re counting, we also upgraded three products’ accessibility compliance and added three new experts to the LibLynx team. We’re looking forward to building on these successes in 2026!
